Getting the Chattanooga Market setup on a Sunday morning can feel like watching a city being built in only 5 hours. But the system that we have developed tends to make things go like a well oiled machine, especially if our vendors are sure to observe a few important rules. Below you will find a detailed description of the setup process.

SETUP

  • 6:00 am : Venue Preparation Begins

The Chattanooga Market Crew arrives and begins setting up tables, banners, etc.

  • 7:00 am : Reserved Boot Setup Begins

Vendors with Reserved Booth spaces can begin setting up inside the pavilion. Be sure to mark your space off at the front desk so that we know you are present. When unloading directly into your booth space be sure to quickly unload your items, move your vehicle,  and return to complete setup. Otherwise traffic jams are likely to occur!

  • 8:00 am : Market Desk Opens

Vendors can begin checking in and paying their booth fees. You are not required to pay prior to market opening and can come back at any point during the day to pay your fees.

  • 8:30 am : Farms & Food Reserved Booth Check-In Ends

Farm & Food vendors with a Reserved Booth must mark their space off at the front desk, otherwise their space may be allocated to another vendor.

  • 8:30 am : Farms & Food Roll-Call / Select-A-Booth Begins

Farm & Food vendors that registered using the RSVP system select spaces based on priority points. If you are setting up on the inside of the pavilion you will need to cart your items in. If setting up on the patio or street, please pull in from the Main Street side of Reggie White Boulevard, and after unloading pull behind the pavilion to park your vehicle. When unloading directly into your booth space be sure to quickly unload your items, move your vehicle,  and return to complete setup. Otherwise traffic jams are likely to occur!

  • 9:00 am : Arts & Crafts Reserved Booth Check-In Ends

Arts & Crafts vendors with a Reserved Booth must mark their space off at the front desk, otherwise their space may be allocated to another vendor.

  • 9:00 am : Vehicles out of the pavilion

It is important to have vehicles out by 9:00 am as the pavilion will begin to get very crowded. At this time the market crew will begin setting up the stage and sound system, closing off the back entrance.

  • 9:15 am : Arts & Crafts Roll-Call / Select-A-Booth Begins

Arts & Crafts vendors that registered using the RSVP system select spaces based on priority points.

  • 9:45 am : Walk-Up Vendor Select-A-Booth

If you did not register in advance but would like to come as a walk-up vendor you are more than welcome. Keep in mind that space is not guaranteed and you must select after everyone that registered in advance, regardless of your point standing.

  • 10:00 am : Vehicles out of the street

Customer will begin to arrive, and so the street must be cleared of vehicles ASAP to fully secure the venue.

BREAKDOWN

  • 4:00 pm : Market ends and breakdown begins

Vendors are required to remain setup for the duration of the event. If you completely sell out of product prior to market close you can ask the market manager for an exception, which will be at their discretion. At this time vendors can begin breaking down their booth and can cart items out to their vehicle. If you have not yet paid your setup fees for the day you are still able to do so at the market desk.

  • 4:30 pm : Vehicles may enter the street

If you are setup on the patio or street and your booth is completely broken down and ready to load then you may enter from the Main Street side of Reggie White Boulevard and load directly into your vehicle. You should then exit the venue on the 20th street side of Reggie White so that we maintain a one way traffic pattern. **This timetable is at the managers discretion and can be pushed back depending on safety concerns.

  • 5:00 pm : Vehicles may enter the pavilion

Once the pavilion is clear enough, the market manager will allow vendors to pull into the front of the pavilion so that they can load directly into their vehicles. Vendors will be able to pull into the back of the pavilion around the same time, as soon as the stage, sound gear, and banners are moved out of the way. Be sure that your booth is completely broken down and ready to load prior to pulling your vehicle into the venue! Our primary goal is to avoid traffic jams and accidents. **This timetable is at the managers discretion and can be pushed back depending on safety concerns.

  • 6:00 pm : Sales Envelope Drop Deadline

Envelopes should be turned into the front desk prior to this deadline. At this time the market desk is broken down and put in storage.

  • 8:00 pm : Venue Cleanup Concludes

Our 14 hour day ends and it is time for some much needed rest!!
